National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) had invited application from the eligible and qualified candidates for the post of Scientist-‘C’ and Scientist-‘D’ to be recruited with Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT), on behalf of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The Online Registration Process

The entire application process has been kept online.  Candidates are advised to go read & understand the eligibility criteria described for each post, instructions, selection procedure, application rules etc. before applying.

Following check out the Online Registration steps:

STEP 1: Submission of Applicant’s Details on https://recruitment-delhi.nielit.gov.in/

STEP 2: Uploading of scanned Photograph along with Signature JPEG/JPG format, size less than 50 KB), Signature and Identity Card (Scanned copy in PDF file)

STEP 3: Payment of application fee online (if applicable)

Make sure you complete all these 3 steps, only then your candidature will be considered. In case of any step missing or fee not submitted the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.

The applicant will get an application number while submitting it, that he can use along with his DOB at home page to check his “Application Status” under the View/Print Application menu option.

“Submitted Successfully” application status on your application form confirms that your application has been accepted & submitted successfully. The absence of this status indicates your application has been treated as incomplete and is rejected.

Application Fees:

Alike application process the fees mode is also online. Applicant has to make an online payment to submit the application fee while completing the application process.

Following check out the category wise fee applicable:

General and all others Rs.800/-
SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates Rs.400/-

Any applicable (if) processing charges while paying the Application Fee and service tax, will be borne by the applicant. Please note any other fee payment mode like Demand Draft, Pay Order, Cheque or Challan is not allowed or accepted.

The Selection Process:

The complete selection process for the post of Scientist-‘C’ and Scientist-‘D’ will consist of 3 stages

  • Screening Test
  • Evaluation of the academic records
  • Personal Interview

The Screening test will be the first stage that every candidate has to appear in; this will be an objective type test having questions with multiple choices of answers.

Following are the details of the Screening test.

150 Multiple choice question 150 minutes

Passing score for General category is 60% for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories the qualifying marks will be 50%.

The result from this screening test will determine whether/if a candidate is eligible to fill the main application form for the posts of Scientist C and Scientist D to proceed further in the next level of the selection process.

The above-mentioned number of vacancies can vary as per the requirement of ICERT and should not be considered as fixed.

No vacancy is reserved for PWD category except than PWD (HH)

Educational Qualification:

There is minimum academic required to apply for the posts of Scientist C and Scientist D with Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT). Following are details of educational qualification demanded by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).

Note: Make sure you apply only if you have authentic degree/certificates from authorized universities. As a special committee will be incorporated to verify every certificate/document/degree/Gate score populated by the candidate while applying online.

Scientist -C (Gr-A Posts) (a) Bachelor Degree in Technology / Engineering  (Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Telecommunication )/Associate Member of  Institute of Engineers (A&B)

with five years (six years for Associate Member of Institute of Engineers) of applicable work experience  with Ministries or Departments

 

(b) Master Degree in Science (M.Sc.) (Physics or Electronics or Applied Electronics) with six years of relevant work experience in Ministries or Departments

 

(c) DOEACC B-Level (Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses) or Graduate from IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) with six years of relevant work experience in Ministries or Departments.

 

(d) MCA degree with six years of relevant work experience in Ministries or Departments.

Up to 35 years
Scientist -D (Gr-A Posts) (a) B. Tech or B.Eng. (Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Telecommunication) with at least eight years of working experience (nine years for Associate Member of Institute of Engineers) in Ministries.

 

(b) M.Sc. degree (Physics or Electronics or Applied Electronics) with nine relevant years of work experience in Ministries

 

(c) Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) B-Level certificate or Graduate from IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) along with nine years of applicable job experience in Ministries.

 

(d) MCA degree with at least nine years of relative working experience in related Ministries.

Upto 40 years
