Railway Recruitment has released the official notifications against 35,277 vacancies in total with 13,487 vacancies for engineering graduates. Interested candidates need to fill the registration form on the official website. In this article, we are providing the Railway 2019 notification, Online Application details, Exam Dates, Fee, Exam Pattern, Fee and eligibility criteria for RRB Recruitment 2019.

RRB JE & SSE Recruitment 2019- Vacancy Details


The RRB New Notification 2019 for Junior Engineer and Senior Section Engineer has been released. The post wise vacancy details of RRB JE and SSE are provided below. RRB JE 2019 Online Application

The online registration for Railway JE 2019 exam has started on 2nd January. Interested candidates can apply online for the RRB JE 2019 exam by clicking here. The application forms will be accepted online only and interested candidates can refer to the table above to keep track of the dates.


Eligibility Criteria for RRB-JE 2019 recruitment

The eligibility of the candidate will be governed by his education qualification, age, and interview. The schedule for personal interviews will be notified later. The tentative month for the PI would be April/May.


Educational Qualifications

For Junior Engineer: Candidate should have a full-time Diploma/Degree from any recognized university.

For Depot Material Superintendent: Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree from any recognized University.

For chemical and Metallurgical Department: Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks.


Age limit

Minimum age for applying: 18 years

Maximum age for applying: 33 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per the government norms. To check the relaxation in the upper age limit, kindly refer to the official pdf notification of RRB JE Recruitment 2019.


Application Fee

Candidates need to pay the application fee while registering for the RRB JE Recruitment 2019. The fee can be paid online through credit/debit card or through SBI challan or Post Office Challan. Fee applicable is as follows:

For UR/OBC candidates: Rs 500/-

For SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs 250/-


Selection Process: after the online application is done. Candidates will be selected through a 3 step process for RRB JE recruitment 2019.

Step1: Written Test will be conducted.

Step2: For the candidates who will be shortlisted after the written test, the list will be released and they will be then called for document verification.

Step3: the Last step for the selection process would be a medical examination.


RRB JE Exam Pattern

The pattern for the RRB JE step1 which is a written examination is given below. The table shows a detailed division of questions per subject. It also shows the marks per question. The whole time limit to attempt the written exam will be 90 minutes.

Please note that there will negative marking for incorrect answers. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each answer will be deducted for every 1 wrong answer.
